Named President-Elect of
APICS 2007 Board of Directors
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Dr. Robert Vokurka has been named 2007 president-elect
for the APICS (Association for Operations Management) Board of Directors. His
one-year term began on Monday, Jan. 1 and he will assume the position of president
on Jan.1, 2008.
Vokurka, who last year served as the Association’s secretary-treasurer, is a professor of operations management at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. In addition to his duties as chair of the University’s Department of Finance, Economics, and Decision Sciences, he has had more than 50 papers published in national journals and his more than 25 years of experience include positions as plant manager and division controller for major companies.
